Types of EVs
• BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) — runs 100% on electricity, no combustion engine. e.g. Tesla, Nissan Leaf
• PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) — has both electric motor + combustion engine, can plug in to charge. e.g. Toyota Prius Prime
• HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) — has both but cannot plug in, charges via regenerative braking. e.g. Toyota Camry Hybrid
• FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) — uses hydrogen to generate electricity. e.g. Toyota Mirai
Key Benefits of EVs
• 🌱 Lower/zero emissions
• ⚡ Cheaper to fuel than gasoline
• 🔧 Less maintenance (no oil changes, fewer moving parts)
• 🤫 Quieter ride
